Industrial hemp can grow 4 metres in 90 – 100 days and is one of the most efficient CO2-to-biomass conversions available, over five times more efficient than agro-forestry.

The carbon uptake of hemp can be accurately measured and monitored. Solid state carbon is produced by the photosynthetic conversion of atmospheric carbon dioxide.

1.3 – 1.6 kg of carbon dioxide is stored per kilogram of dry hemp fibre.
